About Millenium Park
Millennium Park is a private park in Kolkata, situated along the Strand Road on eastern shore of Hooghly River for a stretch of 2.5 km near Fairlie Ghat and opposite to Railway Club.
The park consists of landscaped gardens and children's amusement rides.
It was opened along the riverside to provide a green area for Kolkata's
polluted waterway. It is a millennium gift from Kolkata Metropolitan Development Authority
(KMDA/CMDA) inaugurated on 26 December 1999. The park is part of the
first phases of the Kolkata Riverside Beautification Project. The park
is open from 11am-8pm

Millenium Park is situated near the
Babughat on the banks of river Ganga. It is nice place to spend couple
of hours with your family. The place does not offer much but couple of
hours in front of Ganga with friends and that too at very minimum entry
fee is itself a good option. You can see small fishing boats and
launches passing by and the evening atmosphere with sun setting is quite
amazing. There is also few rides available for children but you will
have to pay for such rides apart from entry fees
This park beside the river Ganges is a
good place if you want to spend some time with your girlfriend. There is
a good view of the river from the park but nothing more to do here. It
is just a place for hangout -that's it.
Millennium park will also be a very good option for Romantic Date in
kolkata. So if You planning a Date with your Girl on this Valentine;s
Day and want to have some kiss and Hugs than it would be a good option
as it is one of the safe parks in kolkata for couples also.
